About Paul Dimock: I am very pleased to be able to say that my lifelong interest in photography, once a hobby, is now my life work. I have traded in the stress and angst of the city in favour of a calm, rural home in Dufferin County.
If you are looking for me, most often, you will find me roaming along the back roads looking for inspiration. I aim to find the extraordinary within what many may consider ordinary, and then try to help you see it through my eyes. I strive to capture the essence of my subjects, which in turn reflects me – my thinking and mood in that moment. I endeavour to capture the images as naturally as possibly, preferring natural light to flashes and strobes. My primary goal is to create simple, striking photographs. However, I do take advantage of the techniques available with photo editing to either enhance what I saw, or transform it into what I hope will be a somewhat unexpected work of art.
I hope to project my passion into my work, which is most evident with my favourite subjects – landscapes and rural scenes; however, I do love the adrenalin rush of coming across a more powerful or compelling scene and capturing the intensity with compassion. I trust the moment, often allowing my two assistants to lead the way. Bailey and Sam accompany me whenever they can, often entreating me to stop – if only for a moment – to explore a new trail, go for a swim, or chase wild turkeys. They never catch the turkeys, but being labs, they are always ready for a swim…
My motto says it all: “The camera is only a tool for capturing what’s in your mind’s eye.”

I am a grandmother who knits all the time at home and have spent many years at different locations in Oakville, Burlington and Mississauga.
I mostly knit for children, in bright colours in heavy yarn ideal for skating and outings in the car. They have Nordice style yokes amd always the sweater of jacket has a hat or toque or headband to match. I also have several styles of baby jackets, pullovers and hoodies. I also have several larger sized sweaters and one XL jacket for adults, which take a lot of time to knit, but I often take orders for after the festive season from people. I have puppy coats, slippers in all sizes from va vy to bigfoot. There is also a ladies lacy openwork vest, and toque/scarf sets & berets, scarves in various different yarns as well.
